H2020 EIFFEL Project – Pilot 2 Sustainable Agriculture National Scale
H2020 project EIFFEL is a game changer in the domain of climate change adaptation and mitigation by harvesting the benefits of the GEOSS data. The project will offer to the Earth Observation community the ground-breaking capacity of exploiting existing GEOSS datasets and will also build upon prior knowledge, with minimal new data collection activities.
In a more concrete framework, EIFFEL’s Pilot 2 facilitates the access to an integration of national spatial data with untapped GEOSS research-based soil data and different spaceborne sources such as Copernicus, into user's oriented (Lithuanian Paying Agency) applications.
i-BEC via the Carbon Monitoring System and leveraged the Lithuanian Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) serves several spatial soil health indicators (e.g. bare soil occurrence, SOC, clay) at National scale and parcel level, exploiting Earth Observation data, Artificial Intelligence architectures and big data analytics.
